Does your Ford Radio have and inactive "AUX" button on the face? With the AAi-FRD04 the "AUX" button comes alive to allow Ford owners to bring their portable audio devices on the road. How does it work ? The AAi-FRD04 connects to the 16-pin RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment/Satellite Radio) port on select 2004-Up Ford/Lincoln/Mercury radios and uses that port as an audio inputallowing users to connect their MP3, DVD, Satellite Radio, X-BOX, VHS player, iPods, or audio device with audio outputs. Have you seen an "AUX INPUT" jack on some of the newer Ford vehicles? To achieve the same look simply add the iS335 dash mount "AUX" jack to convert the RCA outputs on the adapter to 3.5mm. Have a blast the next time you drive to work, home or wherever your travels may take you.
COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND NOTES: [This section will inform you of the specific requirements for your factory radio to be compatible with the AAi-FRD04. The AAi-FRD04 will only work on models equipped with the specifications listed below. Please read all notes before purchasing this part]
1. The AAi-FRD04 is compatible with select 2004-10 Model/Year vehicles listed in drop-down menu below.
2. Radio MUST have an "AUX" button on the face and a 16-PIN connector on the back of the radio.
3. For a clean install, we recommend the iS335 dash mount Kit.
4. *NOT* Compatible with factory Rear Seat Entertainment or factory Satellite Radio. You will have to disconnect them to use this part.
5. The AAi-FRD04 is a passive Audio only device. *NO* track controls or text display capabilities.
6. Includes a potentiometer for audio level adjustment. (works like a line driver)
7. *NOT* compatible with factory Navigation (except 06 Freestyle).
