Did you know that they are some Alpine Ai-NET CD Changers that can be used in M-BUS applications?
With the ALP/AI-M6 customers with Alpine CD Changer controlling M-BUS Headunits are able to connect any Alpine Ai-NET Dual BUS CD Changer. The second thing you should know is that the 2 Alpine BUS systems use different connectors and this cable does the conversion.
The ALP/Ai-M6 (replaces Alpine KCA-130B) converts Alpine Mini-BUS to Ai-NET (Female) to allow the installation of an Ai-NET CD Changer with Dual BUS capability (i.e. Ai-NET BUS & M-BUS) to an Alpine Mini-Bus (M-BUS) headunit.
Other uses include connecting an Alpine Dual BUS Ai-NET CD Changer to many Alpine derived factory installed radios in BMW, Chrysler, Honda, Ford, Mazda, Mercedes, Toyota, Volvo, VW etc. (An aftermarket CD Changer interface such as the CHRY02/PC-ALP, MAZ/PC-ALP, ABMW35, BMWALPX, AAi-MAZ, TOY/PC-ALP, VW/PC-ALP, VOL/ALP DMX V.1 (sold separately) is also required.
Measuring approximately 6-inches, the ALP/Ai-M6 has a Female Ai-NET connector (connects to the Ai-Net CD Changer cable--not to the short cable on the changers) on one end and on the other a Male 8-Pin DIN Plug (connects to Alpine CDM- or TDM- M-BUS Radios or to the optional CD Changer interface)
The following Alpine CD Changers support DUAL BUS PROTOCOLS: CHA-S634, CHA-S614, CHA-S607, CHA-S604, VPA-S001 (see warning below)

1. This cable requires a compatible Alpine Mini-BUS (M-BUS) Radio and Alpine Dual Protocol CD Changer.
2. Alpine CHA-S1214, CHA-S1204, CHA-S605, MDA-5051, CHA-S624 are *NOT* DUAL-BUS Capable and can only be used with Alpine Ai-Net Head units (i.e. CDA-, TDA-, MDA-, iVA-, etc)
