FORD/M-LINK1 V.1C iPod Adapter for select 1996-05 Ford

The FORD/M-LINK1 V.1C iPod adapter delivers CD quality sound directly into the factory sound system via the CD changer port and all the controls on the iPod™ also work so selection of Playlist, and any other playback functions can be controlled there. The iPod™ will remain in Direct Mode allowing you to search and select music directly just as you would in portable use. You will have access to all of your Playlist and settings and will also charge the iPod while the radio is on and to prevent battery drain, a built-in timer will automatically stop the charging process 20 minutes after the radio is turned off. The FORD/M-LINK1 V.1C uses the iPod docking connector as both an audio and power source, limiting the wire bundle, freeing the console of clutter. Connecting the FORD/M-LINK1 V.1C is also a simple plug-n-play affair.

COMPATIBILITY & NOTES: [The following requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with the select 1996-05 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury vehicles listed in pull-down menu below with CD Changer controls.
2. CD Changer control radios will have a 20-PIN CD Changer port and a  "COMP" "SHUTTLE" button on the face.
2. Not compatible with 2004-Up Ford Radios with "AUX" button on face. See the FORD/CAN M-LINK2
3. If the vehicle has a CD Changer, it must be disconnected and will no longer function
4. Display and control remains with the iPod. Text information or iPod controls are NOT available from the radio.
