P.I.E. continues to lead the pack with the introduction of their latest Ford RSE Solution. The FRDN-DVD harness allows you to retain use of the factory DVD player when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. In these vehicles, the factory DVD player will not turn on/off, and no audio can be heard on the speakers after replacing the factory radio. The FRDN-DVD provides the factory DVD with power and provides the aftermarket radio with an audio signal from the factory DVD through a set of RCA connectors (the aftermarket radio being installed must have an auxiliary input port)- -- -- See our Auxiliary input Adapters.
Compatibility & Installation Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Allows factory DVD to work with an aftermarket radio when the factory radio is replaced in select 2004-06 FORD Vehicles listed in pull-down menu.
2. Facilitates Audio connection from the factory DVD player to the aftermarket radio with an AUX INPUT
3. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 2005-08 FORD CAN-BUS RADIOS [see the FRD04-DVD]
4. Connect the Red wire to a 12-Volt accessory wire and black wire to ground
