FRDW-AUX Auxiliary Input Adapter for Select 1997-07 Ford

Do you have a portable audio device and eager to connect it to the factory Ford Radio but didn't know how? Most if not all Ford Radios do not have a dedicated AUX input but do have CD Changer ports. The CD Changer port can be converted to an "AUX IN" using a special adapter. Enter FRDW-AUX
With the FRDW-AUX Auxiliary input adapter you can covert the 12-PIN CD Changer plug in select Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Nissan to an auxiliary input. The 12-PIN plug is usually in the center armrest, under seat, rear hatch, trunk etc. Vehicles with factory CD Changer must disconnect the Changer because the adapter takes its place.
Once installed you may connect an iPod, MP3 Player, Walkman, Discman, DVD Player or many other devices with an audio output for a clean audio connection and the ability to tune the device using the factory radio built-in audio controls (i.e. Bass, treble, volume etc).
Note: Vehicles that are not-prewired must use the FRDN-AUX instead (except Focus).
Compatibility & Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with any 1995-07 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury & Nissan Quest pre- wired with this 12-pin plug..
2. The FRDW-AUX takes the place of the CD Changer. If you have a CD Changer you must disconnect it.
3. Easy plug-n-play and INSTALLATION DIAGRAM
4. Not compatible with 2003-Up vehicles equipped with the 6-Disc in-dash Radio, Satellite Radio.
5. The Ford Radio will not control the audio device. See the PXDP kit for select iPod controls using radio buttons
6. Also compatible with BLAUPUNKT Single CD/MP3 Player model [PM-3S4T-18C869] in select 2000-04 Ford Focus. The FRDB-HAR (for DPX+) or FRDW-HAR (for DPX) installation harness is required.

** Any Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicle wired for the factory CD Changer is compatible with this part. CD Changer (if present) must be disconnected.

1. For proper operation the factory CD Changer (if present) must remain disconnected.
2. Not for vehicles equipped with Satellite Radio or radios with built-in 6CD Changer.
3. Focus without Blaupunkt radio must purchase the FRDC-AUX
