The FRDW/PC-POD2 adapter allows you to control iPod products with the radio buttons (even steering wheel controls if you have them) — including controls for track up/down, fast forward, and rewind. The iPod itself is not disabled (as in previous versions), giving you access to all your playlists and menus via the clickable scroll-wheel or touch screen. You won't have to worry about sound quality, this wired connection ensures the best possible audio performance from your iPod. Once everything is installed, you'll be able to access the iPod by pressing "CD" button on your radio. The FRDW/PC-POD2 will even charge your iPod while it's plugged in. Have a blast the next time you drive to work, home or wherever you travels may take you. The FRDW/PC-POD2 is sure to delight many Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Owners.

Compatibility and Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with the select 1998-07 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury listed in pull-down menu below and all Pre-Wired for Changer (see Note 2)
2. All vehicles MUST have this 12-PIN plug in center armrest, rear hatch, glove box, under seat etc. [Focus/Cougar with Blaupunkt CD/MP3 Radio See footnotes]
3. If a CD Changer is already connected, you must disconnect it and connect this adapter in its place.
4. The factory radio does not display Text. The radio defaults to CD Changer display format

To use this adapter in vehicles equipped with a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 Player model [PM-3S4T-18C869 requires the FRDB-HAR installation harness (sold separately).
