Despite great improvements of the OEM factory audio systems, low end bass response is incompetent by most standards. Retaining the factory system and adding an aftermarket amplifier to power a subwoofer requires skill and knowledge of GM data Bus. Thanks to the engineers at Peripheral electronics, the ability to Add-an-Amp to select 2000-08 GM is now available to anyone. The GMAA2 is the worlds first GM Class II Add-an Amp wiring kit allowing for significant upgrades to non-amplified and standard Bose amplified factory systems. While also working as a speaker-to-line-level converter, the GMAA2 kit is perfect for adding a subwoofer and subwoofer amp system to the factory radio in select 2000-08 GM Class II SUV's & cars. It features 4-channel RCA or speaker-level inputs and outputs, and includes an interchangeable speaker and RCA harnesses for multiple applications. It has programmable input and output circuitry with slide switches, which allows connection of RCA level or speaker level input or output. DC coupling circuit ensures noise free integration and no load induced on the factory system. This is in contrast to a normal LOC which uses resistors and can stress a factory radio's circuitry.
