GMCSS2 Bluetooth Installation harness for select 2000-09 GM

Currently Bluetooth wireless technology is most often used to facilitate hands-free operation of mobile phones. It allows drivers to sustain phone conversations without having to hold a phone while driving and without having to search for the mobile phone when it rings. Custom installed kits can offer additional functionality, such as custom placement of the microphone and integration with the entertainment system, providing much of the functionality a factory-fitted solution does, including voice recognition options etc. The GMCCS2 is designed to integrate most Motorola, Parrot and other manufacturers hands-free car kits with a mute wire into select 2000-2009 GM cars, small trucks and SUV's with RDS* Radios listed in this APPLICATION GUIDE. [please check the guide to verify vehicle requirements before you order.] Once everything is installed, the GMCCS2 will play the call through the factory sound system. "PHONE" or "CALL" will appear on the radios display. When the Bluetooth car kit (i.e. IHF1000, T605 etc) is activated by either an incoming or outgoing call, the GMCCS2 will automatically mute the radio and uses the vehicle speaker to provide the audio from the caller.

» Mute the factory radio whenever a phone call is made or received.
» Feeds the callers voice to the car speaker
» Will NOT interrupt OnStar Calls (works independent of OnStar but OnStar calls are prioritized)
» "CALL" or "PHONE" will appear on the factory radio display.
» Use the Radio volume control knob to control the volume of your cellular phone calls.
» Steering wheel controls (if so equipped) also adjust audio volume.
» When the phone call has ended, the radio volume will return to the set level. No startling the driver or passengers.
» Connects to the 12 & 24-PIN connectors behind the radio.
» Constant power to the radio means that even while diving with the radio off the phone is still active through the factory sound system.
COMPATIBILITY & NOTES: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Vehicle model/year listed in pull-down menu/application guide MUST have a "RDS Radio" with or without OnStar.
2. Does not interfere or interrupt GM OnStar system (if so equipped).
3. When installing Motorola IHF1000 or T605 Bluetooth kits the MOT-1000 sub-harness is also required. (sold separately)
4. When installing Parrot CK3100, CK3300 or CK3500 Bluetooth Car Kits the PT-3100 sub-harness is also required. (sold separately)
5. When installing Parrot CK3200 and CK3400 Bluetooth Car Kits the PT-3200 sub-harness is also required. (sold separately)
6. Other Bluetooth Car Kits (i.e. Nokia) with a mute wire must use the UPA2 Universal sub-harness. (sold separately)
7. Works in conjunction with GM factory options such as OnStar, CD Changer, Delco Bose system and XM Satellite Radio.

1. Not for use on Cadillac cars due to Cadillac's frequent engineering and design changes (except Escalade models)

1. You will not be able to use GM OnStar equipment (i.e. microphone) with the aftermarket Bluetooth Kit. Use the microphone included with the aftermarket Bluetooth kit.
2. The loose green wire must be connected to a 12V source controlled by the ignition. The Bluetooth kit (i.e. IHF1000/T605) will not power up without it.
3. The GMCSS2 is a Bluetooth installation harness, not a bluetooth kit. (Bluetooth kits are sold separately)


	2-PIN Speaker Plug (far left) Connect to the 2-pin speaker (high or low) connector on the MOT1000, PT3100, PT3200, UPA2 sub-harnesses (sold separately). 6-PIN MOLEX PLUG (Center) Connect to the 6-pin MOLEX connector on the MOT1000, PT3100, PT3200, UPA2 sub-harnesses (sold separately). Green Wire (Right) Connect to a 12V "switch controlled" wire in vehicles harness or fuse box.
	12 & 24-PIN Plugs Connect to the 12 & 24-PIN connectors on the back of the GM Class-2 Radio.
