And while these high-end car manufacturers exceed their clients demands in most regards, they still lag behind technology when it comes to their audio systems. Dension Gateway Lite GWL1MO1 iPod adapter is a simple standard entry level product for both iPod and USB integration in select European cars which cannot support text. Control of the iPod is from the click wheel or Touch screen, however the skip buttons on your radio (or steering wheel) can be used to move forward and backwards through your tracks. USB devices with folder structure, or Playlists are accessed by selecting the corresponding CD number on the radio up to the number of CDs your changer is capable of handling, i.e. preset #1 will play folder 1, preset #2 will play folder 2 etc. This hard-wired solution delivers CD-quality audio and select controls of the players from the vehicle’s entertainment system controls.

COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS & NOTES [ Please read all requirements, footnotes etc]
1. Compatible with select BMW, Mercedes (Audio 20/50), Porsche (CDR-23/24), Saab Non-Text Capable radios--- See Footnotes.
2. M.O.S.T ring must be able to support a CD Changer. if a CD Changer is already installed it must be disconnected.
3. Mercedes with D2B bus in earlier models are NOT Compatible. See the GWL1DB1
4. This device does *NOT* display text. See the GW51MO2

BMW Compatibility & Notes:
7-Series with i-Drive Professional . Dual i-Drive Radios are *NOT* compatible.
Additional BMW radios are compatible if losing text capability and/or the factory CD changer are not an issue
Mercedes Benz Compatibility & Notes:
* 2004-Up C & CLS Class with COMAND systems are *NOT* compatible. These vehicles must use the GW51MO2
* 2005-Up B, CL, CLK, G, GL, M & R Class with COMAND are *NOT* compatible. These vehicles must use the GW51MO2
* 2003-Up E Class with COMMAND are *NOT* compatible. These vehicles must use the GW51MO2
Porsche Radio compatibility & Notes
Compatible with CDR23/24. Not compatible with "Text Compatible" radios such as the PCM1, 2, 2.1, 3. Text radios require the GW51MO2
CD-Changer option needs to be coded if no factory CD-Changer available
Saab Compatibility & Notes
2003-2006 9-3 - Head unit must have front or rear CD changer support. Not compatible with Color/Monochrome displays or Navigation radios. These vehicles must use the GW51MO2
