High Definition Radio technology provides for enhanced sound fidelity and improved reception, eliminating the static, hiss, pops and fades associated with today's radio caused by conditions known as multi-path, noise and interference ALL FREE with HD Radio Receiver Purchase. The HDRT is a slave device that requires a Peripheral/Simple Gateway (PXAMG) adapter for controls. The HDRT receives analog and digital radio stations and gives you control through the factory radio, while retaining all the functionality of the factory installed System. With the HDRT you will get clearer sound on AM and FM as well as access to simulcast HD Radio stations that are not available through a standard radio tuner. Multilcast HD Radio stations are purely digital for optimum audio quality, and often offer an alternative audio selection. As of 2007, more than 1200 AM and FM stations are broadcasting with High Definition Radio technology, with more than 550 FM stations offering Multi-cast channels, thus doubling or tripling the number of programs available to listeners in these Areas of the country.

COMPATIBILITY & NOTES: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. The HDRT is a slave tuner and requires the Media Gateway (PXAMG) or Connect to work.
2. The HDRT is controlled by the automobile's radio through the Media Gateway or Connect
3. The HDRT antenna requires an antenna signal. Some vehicles require an antenna adapter to convert the factory unique antenna terminal to Standard DIN. (see below)
4. Once the car antenna is connected to the HDRT, AM/FM reception is no longer possible through the factory radio. All AM/FM and HD station will come through the HDRT. In order to retain conventional AM/FM you must split the Antenna Signal between the radio and the HDRT. The best solution if to connect the factory antenna to the radio and purchase a second Antenna for the HDRT.

1. The HDRT is not a stand-alone device. It MUST BE USED in conjunction with iSimple Media Gateway or Connect
2. Some vehicles may require an antenna adapter to connect the factory antenna plug into the Standard DIN antenna connector on the HDRT OR purchase a second AM/FM antenna such as the BAWM200 or SFAS09.
