PXVWHF2 Bluetooth kit installation harness for select 2002-08 VW

Currently Bluetooth wireless technology is most often used to facilitate hands-free operation of mobile phones. It allows drivers to sustain phone conversations without having to hold a phone while driving and without having to search for the mobile phone when it rings. Custom installed kits can offer additional functionality, such as custom placement of the microphone and integration with the entertainment system, providing much of the functionality a factory-fitted solution does, including voice recognition options. The PXVWHF2 (replaces VW part #'s 3B0 051 434 and 6X0 051 434) is designed to integrate select Motorola hands-free car kits into select 2002-08 Volkswagen Vehicles with Premium VI/Monsoon, Touareg/Delta, RNS S2, RNS MFD2 and Premium VII radios with 12-PIN Connectors APPLICATION GUIDE. [please check the guide to verify vehicle requirements before you order.] Once everything is installed and the car kit is activated by either an incoming or outgoing call, the PXVWHF2 will automatically mute the radio and uses the vehicle speaker to provide the audio from the Bluetooth phone Kit.

» Mute the factory radio whenever a phone call is made or received.
» Feeds the callers voice to the car speaker
» Use the Radio volume control knob to control the volume of your cellular phone calls.
» Steering wheel controls (if so equipped) also adjust audio volume.
» When the phone call has ended, the radio volume will return to the factory set level.
» Connects to VW radio 12-PIN connector.
COMPATIBILITY & NOTES: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with select 2002-08 VW Radios listed in this APPLICATION GUIDE.
2. Use to install a Motorola IHF1000, IHF1700 or T605 Bluetooth kit.
3. Use to install a Parrot CK31000, CK3200, CK3300, CK3400, CK3500, MK6000 or MK6100. Please note that the PPAPAR sub-harness is also required. (sold separately)
3. Compatible radio MUST HAVE a 12-PIN connector.
The PXVWHF2 connector mates perfectly with the existing radio harness/connectors. It also feature an 8-pin Molex plug that connects to the 3043533Z02 or Z03 harness included with Motorola Bluetooth Kits.

1. The Speaker Switcher (HFS) IS NOT REQUIRED.
2. *NOT* compatible with VW OnStar.
3. *NOT* compatible with VW 16-pin radio connectors. See the PPH9003 instead.
4. Most Volkswagen's do *NOT* have an accessory wire on the radio harness. Locate and connect the single red wire to a +12V wire source controlled by the ignition.
