P.I.E. continues to lead the pack with the introduction of their latest iPod™ adapter for Ford Radios. The FRD04-POD/S iPod™ interface allows you to playback, charge, and control iPod™ products through the built in Satellite function on select FORD radios. The FRD04-POD/S connects to the Satellite Radio port on the FORD radio allowing the radio to displays iD3 information such as artist name, song title, album name, Playlist names etc. Direct audio connection gives you optimal sound quality; no FM modulation or cassette adapter to deal with. The FRD04-POD/S will also *charge your iPod™ and includes a 4 foot dock connector cable so that you stow the iPod™ out of sight (i.e glove box) or leave within reach if you decide to use the iPod clickwheel to browse the iPod™ music library.
With the FRD04-POD/S you can control the iPod in two modes:
1. Using the iPod™ screen and controls (iPod Head Mode), OR
2. Using the FORD radio display and controls (iPod Remote Mode)-
» * Charges the iPod's™ internal battery.
» Controls iPod™ playback using the head unit's front panel buttons on the radio or in iPod mode using the clickwheel.
» Direct audio connection for optimal sound quality
» Steering wheel controls functions (if so equipped)
» Individual search by artist, album, Playlist, or genre.
» Ability to display artist name, song tittle, album tittle, Playlist name
» The option of using the OEM radio or iPod to control your iPod
» Compatible with iPod™ Mini, Nano (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G*), Photo, Video, Classic (120G*), iTouch (2G*), iPhone (3G*) Not compatible with 10GB/15GB iPods nor the iPod Shuffle.

Not all Factory radios are compatible with the FRD04-POD/S. The FRD04-POD/S will only work on models equipped with the specifications listed below. Please read and understand

1. The FRD04-POD/S is compatible with 2005-08 FORD Satellite Ready Radios listed in the pull-down menu above [a vehicle selection is required].
2. Compatible radios must have an "AUX" button on the faceplate and a 16-pin connector on the back.
3. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH FACTORY SATELLITE RADIOS or REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT.
4. The FRD04-POD/S does not interfere with the operation of the in-dash CD or 6-CD Changer radio.
