Currently Bluetooth wireless technology is most often used to facilitate hands-free operation of mobile phones. It allows drivers to have mobile phone conversations without having to hold a phone while driving and without having to search for the mobile phone when it rings. The BLU-GM29 (version 1.1.2) universal Bluetooth integration interface is designed to work with multiple aftermarket Bluetooth kits. By utilizing the OnStar commands found in select 29bit GM LAN vehicles, the BLU-GM29 allows your phone audio to be heard through the vehicle's speakers and gives you control of the EGO TALK, Motorola IHF1000/IHF1700/T605 and Parrot CK3000 through the factory steering wheel controls. Customers will enjoy Bluetooth audio through their factory sound system, as well as the ability to use their standard steering wheel controls to operate the Bluetooth device, further enhancing its safety and convenience factors.
The BLU-Gm29 is designed to be plug-n-play with these kits, however it can be used with any aftermarket Bluetooth Kit (hardwire connections required). The BLU-GM29 is compatible with the select 2006-Up GM29-bit vehicles listed in this APPLICATION GUIDE.
• Mute the factory radio when you receive or make a phone call
• Takes the cellular phone audio and plays it through the factory front speakers.
• Plug-n-play in vehicles with Steering wheel controls. (see MANUAL. for exceptions.)
• If you are in a BLU-Gm29 call and OnStar is activated, the driver information center will display "Call" and beeps can be heard through the speaker.
COMPATIBILITY & NOTES: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with the select 2006-Up GM LAN model/year vehicles listed in pull-down menu above.
2. If you are in a Bluetooth call and OnStar is activated, the driver information center will display "Call" and beeps heard through the speaker. If you want to answer the OnStar call, you MUST end the active Bluetooth call.
3. In Cadillac SRX and other vehicles not equipped with a "play/pause" button on SWC:
a. Parrot kit will have to be hardwired and Parrot controller must be used.
b. Must use controller included with Motorola IHF1000/1700/T605
4. In cars without Steering wheel controls: only the EGO TALK & IHF1000/1700/T605 will be plug-n-play. All other car kits must be hardwired.
5. The BLU-GM29 does not stay powered with the RAP system.
6. If you are using OnStar "turn by turn" navigation you cannot use the BLU-Gm29 as the OnStar text and steering wheel control functions for OnStar take priority.
7. If you are using a Bluetooth kit that supports A2DP audio, iPod, Aux or USB out of the actual audio wires on the Bluetooth kit (i.e. Parrot MKi9200), the audio will only be heard out of the front speakers.

GM Class-2 radios found in select 2000-Up vehicles are not compatible with the BLU-GM29. See the GMCSS-2 instead.

1. Installing the BLU-GM29 with any Bluetooth car kit other than the EGO TALK, Parrot CK3000 or Motorola IHF1000/1700/T605 you will have to cut the main harness (Split-gm29) and hardwire it directly to the Bluetooth kit. Steering wheel controls WILL NOT function and you must use the controller included with the Bluetooth car Kit.
2. The BLU-GM29 is a Bluetooth integration harness used to install a compatible aftermarket Bluetooth car kit (sold separately)
