Product Description: Have you ever had the need to connect a portable MP3, DVD or Game to the Kenwood Radio in your car?
Kenwood's CA-C1AX (KNW/13-RCA) Auxiliary input adapter Cable (by PIE) converts the 13-pin CD Changer port on Select 1999-Up Kenwood head units with Auxiliary Accessory capabilities to an auxiliary audio input. [ Auxiliary Accessory capability option is *NOT* available on All Kenwood receivers --- please check the user manual or this list of Head units.
With this adapter installed, you can connect the line-out audio from any single device such as an [ iPod™, MP3, DVD, Satellite Radio, X-BOX, Playstation, Discman etc] directly to the compatible Kenwood headunit. The result is a clean audio connection and the ability to "tune" the add-on sources through the Receivers audio controls.
Compatibility & Notes:[These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. The KNW/13-RCA is compatible with any 1999-Up Kenwood headunit that is auxiliary accessory capable.
2. Auxiliary (AUX) mode is *NOT* available on all Kenwood headunits. In order to use this accessory the headunit manual must indicate Aux. input option using a (KCA-S210A or CA-C1AX) adapter.
3. During the AUX mode, AUX/AUX-name will show in the display.
4. When the KNW/13-RCA is being used you will *not* be able to connect another Kenwood device (CD Changer, Sirius Tuner etc) to the radio. ---- [see our KNW-AUX interface for simultaneous connection of a Kenwood Device (CD Changer, Sirius tuner etc) and Auxiliary input.]
