Product Description: Local and Federal laws have prohibited the use of Cell phones while driving and because of that many customers in the USA and around the world contact us about the best way to integrate their Bluetooth enabled phone to their vehicle without changing the factory audio system. In order to integrate a Bluetooth enabled phone to a vehicle audio system you will need 3 basic components:
1. A Bluetooth Car Kit (i.e. Motorola IHF1000, T605)
2. A Vehicle specific harness (i.e. PPHCTSRX) -- See FULL APPLICATION GUIDE
3. A Speaker switcher (HFS)
The Motorola IHF1000, T605 and Parrot kits handles all the hands-free calling features (i.e. answer/reject and incoming call, dial by name or by number, etc.). The vehicle specific harness and speaker switcher takes care of the installation process by matching the connectors/plugs on the radio without disrupting its normal operation. Each vehicle manufacturer requires a different harness-- Enter the PPHCTSRX.
The PPHCTSRX and the HFS (Speaker Switcher) are required for a plug-n-play installation of Motorola Motorola IHF1000 or T605 Bluetooth Car Kits.
The PPHCTSRX, HFS (Motorola Speaker Switcher) AND the PPARAR are required for a plug-n-play installation of Parrot CK3100, CK3200, CK3300, CK3400, CK3500 & MK6100 in select 2003-07 CTS and 2004-06 SRX Factory Radios with two 8-pin Radio Connectors listed in this APPLICATION GUIDE. They provide power, speaker mute signal, audio and switching to the Bluetooth kit. With the PPHCTSRX and HFS you don't have to worry about making the wrong connection or splicing the wrong wire; all the guess work is out the door. The PPHCTSRX has two 8-pin (One Female, One Male) connectors that mate perfectly with the Cadillac radio plug/harness. It also has an 18-pin plug that mate perfectly with the the 18-pin connector on the HFS (Speaker Switcher). Spend time enjoying your IHF1000/T605 knowing that every connection is safe and secure.
1. The PPHCTSRX is a vehicle specific harness designed exclusively for the HFS and will *not* work in any other vehicle or application.
2. When using the PPHCTSRX harness to install the IHF1000/T605 car kit, the HFS (Speaker Switcher) IS required. You can add it to your order by selecting it from the pull-down menu above. Purchase together and save!!!!!
3. You will *not* be able to use GM OnStar equipment (i.e. microphone) with an aftermarket Bluetooth car Kit.
