Do you want to connect and listen to the iPod, MP3, DVD or Car Satellite Radio Kit on your GM factory radio? If so, the GM12LAN-AUX/S is the answer. The GM12LAN-AUX/S will convert the SAT Radio Port on select 2006-09 "LAN" Radios & select 2003-08 Class-2 Radios into an auxiliary input. With this adapter installed you can connect any audio device [ iPod™, DVD, Satellite Radio, Walkman, X-BOX, Playstation, etc] to the factory radio without using FM Modulation. This plug-n-play solution surpasses FM modulation which is the current method of introducing audio in these systems. The GMLAN12-AUX/S interface plugs into the back of GM "LAN" & Class-2 Radios listed in our "Order Options" drop-down menu above with the following requirements.
Compatibility & Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with the select 2003-08 Class-2 Radios that are XM capable (MUST HAVE A "BAND" button) on radio face.
2. Compatible with the select 2006-08 GM LAN Radios that are XM capable (MUST HAVE A "CAT" or "P-TYPE" button on radio face).
3. Retains factory XM (if applicable)
4. Compatible with factory RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) or Slave 6-disc changer.
5. The GM12LAN-AUX does not control or charge the audio device, you must control the device using its buttons or remote control.
Installing the GM12LAN-AUX/S in the select GM vehicle requires a specific harness. See this APPLICATION GUIDE for compatible vehicles and harness requirement:
a. Select the GM12-R1 for 2003-2008 Class II radios (Connects at the Class II Radio)
b. Select the GM12-X2 for 2003-2008 Class II Radios with XM (Connects at XM Tuner Location and retains XM reception)
c. Select the GMLAN-R1 for 2006-2008 GM LAN Radios (Connects at GM LAN Radio)
d. Select the GMLAN-X1 for 2006-2008 GM LAN Radios with XM (Connects at XM Tuner location and retains XM reception)
