If you have a Peripheral/iSimple or PAC iPod adapter and one of these new iPods/iPhones, you may purchase this cable to replace the existing one. The PODCBL5V is also backward compatible with older iPods.
WILL THIS CABLE WORK WITH MY iPOD ADAPTER? The PODCBL5V fits any Peripheral, iSimple and PAC iPod adapters with this 8-PIN-MINI DIN connector. WILL THIS CABLE WORK WITH THE 8-pin MINI-DIN CONNECTOR ON THE BACK OF MY CAR STEREO. IT WILL *NOT* !!!. This cable will *not* work in applications other than those mentioned herein.-- See warning message below.
The PODCBL5V is compatible with the following Peripheral, iSimple & PAC iPod adapters with this 8-PIN Mini DIN (small) connector:
» PXAMG, ISGM74, PXDP2*/ISGM73*, PXDP3, PXDPGMT, PXAUX (charge and play, no controls)
» backward compatible with older iPods
» 10 ft long with this 8-PIN Mini-DIN plug on one end and Apple iPod dock connector on the other.
Footnotes [ This is important and must be read and verified prior to ordering ]
* These Peripheral iPod adapters MUST HAVE this 8-PIN MINI-DIN connector, otherwise this cable will not fit.
1. Peripheral iPod2car (PXDP, PXDP2) has two possible connectors for the dock cable. Some have this small 8-pin Mini-DIN and others have the larger 8-PIN DIN. You must visually inspect the adapter in your vehicle to verify compatibility. Following this advice will save time and money.
2. The PODCBL-5V is NOT COMPATIBLE with the 8-pin mini Din plug on other iPod adapters. It is EXCLUSIVE to PAC, Peripherals & iSimple iPod adapters with this 8-PIN Mini-DIN connector only. Use of this cable in other applications will damage the cable and your iPod.
3. The PODCBL-5V plays and charges ALL iPods/iPhones including older models when connected to a compatible PAC, Peripheral or iSimple iPod Adapter.
