If you have a Peripheral/iSimple or PAC iPod adapter and one of these new iPods/iPhones, you may purchase this cable to replace the existing one. The PODCBLB-5V is also backward compatible with older iPods.
WILL THIS CABLE WORK WITH MY iPOD ADAPTER? The PODCBLB-5V fits any Peripheral, iSimple and PAC iPod adapters with this 8-PIN DIN connector. The Key to selecting the right cable for your Peripheral/iSimple/PAC adapter is by looking at the 8-pin connector. The links herein will help you purchase the correct cable. WILL THIS CABLE WORK WITH THE 8-pin DIN CONNECTOR ON THE BACK OF MY CAR STEREO. IT WILL *NOT* !!!. This cable will *not* work in applications other than those mentioned herein.-- See warning message below.
The PODCBLB-5V is compatible with the following Peripheral, iSimple & PAC iPod adapters with this 8-PIN DIN connector:
» PXDP, PXDPA, PXDPBMW, CHYP, PXDX, PXDX2 (charge and play, no controls)
» PAC: iPac-CHY, iPac-BMW, iPac-OEM
» backward compatible with older iPods
» This cable is 10 ft long with an 8-PIN DIN plug on one end and Apple iPod dock connector on the other A 20 ft version is available here
1. Certain iSimple/Peripheral iPod2car (PXDP, PXDP2) have a small 8-pin DIN connector (mini-DIN). The PODCBLB-5V will *not* fit such units. Your iSimple/Peripherals/Pac iPod adapter MUST HAVE THIS 8-PIN DIN connector. Please inspect your adapter to verify compatibility. Following this advice will save time and money.
2. NOT COMPATIBLE with the 8-pin DIN connector on other iPod adapters or on the back of your radio. It is EXCLUSIVE to the iSimple, Peripheral & PAC iPod adapters listed herein. Use of this cable in other applications will damage the cable and your iPod. Please contact the radio or iPod Adapter manufacturer for an applicable cable.
