The CHRY02-AUX will converts the CD Changer port on all vehicles listed in our pull-down into an Auxiliary input. With this adapter installed, you can connect any audio device [ iPod, MP3, DVD, Satellite radio, X-BOX, PlayStation, Walkman etc.] that has a line output directly to the factory radio without using an FM Modulator which is the current method of introducing audio into these systems. The CHRY02-AUX uses the CD Changer port, if a cd changer is connected it must be disconnected.
Compatibility & Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with the select 2002-06 CD Changer control Radios with this 10-PIN connector, a CD or Mode Button printed on faceplate
2. NOT COMPATIBLE with Chrysler's 6-disc in dash radio (i.e “RBQ”), 4-disc in-dash radio (i.e "RBG"), Navigation Radio (i.e. RB4) or "RAH" radio. Works on "RB1" radios.
3. Vehicles with external Changers must have the unit disconnected and will no longer function. [see our X3 system to retain external CD Changer].
4. If more than one auxiliary input is desired (Satellite radio + MP3 player etc) use the CHRY02-AUX with the SON-AUX audio switcher.
5. The CHRY02-AUX does not control or charge the audio device, you must control the device using its buttons or remote control.
Radios with 8-pin DIN connector must use our CHRY98-AUX. or CHRY-AUX

Tips: 1. Not all external audio devices have the same audio output level. Some devices may sound louder than others. If you want to match the audio level to the factory radios CD or AM/FM volume, use a Line Driver to increase the output level.
2. If you've successfully installed an auxiliary input only to have it ruined by system hiss, pops noises, the EIS-INLO unit will help eliminate them!, -- hiss may also be caused by low input -- raising the output will help alleviate hiss. (use the LD-1 for line level products, and the volume control for products with headphone jack output)
Reminder: Due to variations in the Manufacturer's audio installations, ALWAYS verify the head unit, wiring and equipment locations before purchasing this part.
