Most Alpine Ai-Net radios are equipped with one port which limits you to one external device. Customers who have an Alpine CD Changer, or processor connected to their headunit are not able to connect the audio from an MP3, DVD or iPod etc. Enter the ALP/Ai-AUX. The ALP/Ai-AUX Audio Switcher/Auxiliary Input allows customers to retain the Ai-Net Device (i.e CD Changer) and add a single audio device [Portable CD, DVD, VCR, Satellite radio tuners, MP3 Players etc] to the Alpine radio. The ALP/Ai-AUX is a current sensing device that will automatically interrupt the audio coming from the CD Changer and switch in the external device whenever audio is detected on the RCA input and switch back to the CD Changer 10 seconds after no audio signal is detected on the RCA inputs. The ALP/Ai-NET (by PIE) is the best solution for customers wanting to retain their Alpine CD Changer and the ability to connect another audio device without sacrificing the CD Changer. The ALP/Ai-AUX is connected between the Alpine head unit and the CD changer (or other Ai-NET device), and gives you the ability to plug in an auxiliary source to the red/black RCA audio inputs.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. If no Alpine CD Changer is present, the ALP/Ai-AUX can still be used as an auxiliary input on Alpine Ai-Net radios that are "Versatile-Link" compatible.
2. Click here to download INSTALLATION DIAGRAM
3. The CD Changer must have at least one "CD" loaded for the "AUX" to work.

1. The ALP/AI-AUX is NOT COMPATIBLE (will not work/fit) Alpine M-BUS Radios (CDM-, TDM, etc)
2. Factory (OEM) radios in Honda, Mercedes Benz, Chrysler, Jaguar, Volvo, etc. are *NOT* compatible with the ALP/Ai-NET.
