The GM12-AUX just got better! This newest Release (v.2) also works in vehicles with factory: ٭ XM radio, CD Changer, Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) and OnStar.
Do you want to connect and listen to the iPod, MP3, DVD or Car Satellite Radio Kit on select 2003-07 factory GM radio? If so, the GM12-AUXv2 is the answer. The GM12-AUX will convert the CD Changer Port on 2003-07 & select 2008 "Class-II RDS" Radios that are XM Ready or CD Changer ready into an auxiliary input. With this adapter installed you can connect any audio device [ iPod™, DVD, Satellite Radio, Walkman, X-BOX, Playstation, etc] to the factory radio without using FM Modulation. This plug-n-play solution surpasses FM modulation which is the current method of introducing audio in these systems. The GM12-AUXv2 interface plugs into the back of GM "Class-II RDS" or XM Satellite ready radios with this 12-PIN connector. (12-pin Y- Connector included). Vehicles listed in our "Order Options" drop-down list must have a factory GM radio that meets these requirements.
Compatibility & Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with the select 2003-07 XM capable (MUST HAVE A "BAND" button), Radios listed in pull-down menu only.
2. Compatible whether "Factory XM" is Present and Active
3. Compatible with factory RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) or Slave 6-disc changer.
4. Compatible with factory Navigation systems including 2nd generation Navigation radio with TOUCH screen functions .
5. The GM12-AUXv2 does not control or charge the audio device, you must control the device using its buttons or remote control.

Jumper settings:
The GM12-AUXv2 has in internal jumper (J2) that must be configured according to your application:
1. For radios with "BAND" button, jumper must be in "XM" position. (Uses "BAND" button to access AUX 1 or 2).. NOTE: Same audio source will play regardless of AUX1 or 2.
2. For radio without "BAND" button, jumper must be in "CHANGER" position. (Uses "CD/AUX" button to access changer mode or Auxiliary input)

The GM factory radio must have CD Changer controls (the ability to control an externally mounted GM CD changer (CD/AUX) button or XM Ready (Band) Button on the radio face. Radios that do not support one of these options are *NOT* compatible with this part.
NOTEWORTHY: The GM12-AUXv2 will work on Class II radios that are capable of controlling a factory Satellite tuner. Since 2002 was one of the first years of the Class II radios, there is a possibility that these radios are either not Satellite ready, or are not programmed for Satellite. The only ones who can determine if the radios can be programmed are the dealers. So, you can call the dealer to determine if they are capable of programming your radio for satellite. They may charge a fee for this, so, verify that this can be done before purchasing this part.
