Do you want to connect an MP3 player or portable audio device directly to your Honda radio ?. The HON98-AUX Auxiliary input adapter will allow you to connect a single audio device directly to the radio by converting the CD Changer port on select 1998-05 Honda OEM (factory) radios into an audio input. With the HON98-AUX adapter installed, you can connect any single audio device [ iPod, MP3, DVD, Satellite Radio, Walkman, Discman, Playstation, X-BOX etc.] that has a line output directly to the factory radio without using an FM Modulator which is the current method of introducing audio into these systems. The HON98-AUX will deliver the best possible sound quality from the audio device to the radio. They are two RCA (Left and Right) inputs ready to receive the audio signal --[ use our 3.5-RCA6MM or IS75 cables to connect any audio device with a headphone jack (i.e. iPod, Sat Radio, Walkman etc.) to the RCA inputs on the HON98-AUX]. Compatibility & Notes: [The above features will work if the Vehicle/Radio meets the following requirements]
1. Compatible with the select 1998-Up Honda/Acura radios listed the "Order Options" pull-down above.
2. All compatible radios MUST HAVE this 14-PIN CD Changer Connector on the back of the radio. Factory CD Changer (if present) must be disconnected and will no longer function.
3. *Not* compatible with HONDA Navigation, in-dash 6-DISC CD CHANGER RADIO or factory DVD.
4. An external CD changer (if so equipped) must be disconnected and will no longer function. [ purchase the X3 system to retain external CD Changer ]
5. The HON98-aux has provision for one audio device. Purchase the AUXMSTHD1v3 to connect two audio devices.

NOTEWORTHY!!
Honda vehicles are sensitive when it comes to adding to the audio system. If the audio device you are adding to your vehicle is being powered by the vehicle, do not connect the black wire to ground. If the audio device you are adding to your vehicle is running off of its own battery power, you will need to connect the black wire. If the audio device will be powered by the vehicle sometimes and not all the time, you can attach a switch to the black wire so you can change the status of the ground.
