What is an auxiliary input adapter? Auxiliary input adapter is an electronic device that converts the CD Changer port on the back most factory radios into an audio input . The TOY03-AUX Auxiliary Input adapter will convert the CD Changer port on select 2003-07 Toyota Radios to an Auxiliary input. With this adapter installed, you can connect any audio device [iPod, MP3, DVD, Satellite Radio, XBOX, Playstation etc.] that has a line output directly to your Toyota radio without using an FM Modulator, which is the current method of introducing audio into these systems. If you are concerned about the factory Steering wheel controls, or in-dash CD Changer radio--- not to worry! you will not lose these options. The TOY03-AUX is compatible with all vehicles listed in our "Order Options" drop-down above with CD Changer controls and Toyota's New Mini 12-pin connector found on the back of the radio. Your decision to purchase this part should be based on the vehicles listed above having the mini 12-pin connector.
Compatibility & Application Notes: [All requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. 2003 was Toyota's transition year from the larger CD Changer 12-pin connector to the New mini 12-pin connector. It is possible that certain 2003-04 radios will have the larger 12-pin CD Changer plug. For further verification we ask that you remove the radio from the dash. If the larger 12-pin connector is found --- see our TOY-AUX..
2. Not compatible with: 2003-07 Prius, 2003-04 Matrix, and/or any Toyota with Navigation or DVD Video system.
3. The CD Changer which is built-in the Toyota/Scion radio is NOT affected by this adapter.
4. The TOY03-AUX takes the place of a factory remote CD Changer (mounted in glove box, under seat, trunk etc), if you wish to keep the CD Changer or XM we offer an alternate solution click here for details.
5. 2006-08 Toyota Radios with "SAT" button are NOT COMPATIBLE with the TOY03-AUX. See the TOY03-AUX/S

Are you connecting an iPod to the Toyota/Scion Radio ?
You may also combine the TOY03-AUX with a Universal iPod Interface to listen to your iPod on the factory radio. The iPod interface will Charge your iPod, deliver CD Quality Sound and lets you control the iPod from the iPod buttons.
