Product Description: The 3MSB (Blue) Self-Stripping Electrical Tap Connector manufactured by 3M, shall be capable of connecting a tap wire to a run wire, in the wire range of 18 – 14 Gauge (RUN), and 18 – 14 Gauge (TAP). Use to connect a single 18 – 14 Gauge wire to an existing 18 – 14 Gauge RUN. Great for tapping into the factory radio power supply wires when such supply is required by aftermarket products [interfaces, auxiliary input adapters, dvd players etc].
Installation Instructions:
1. Place un-stripped run wire inside run channel
2. Insert un-stripped tap wire completely up to stop
3. Hold tool perpendicular to the wires and make the connection by driving the u-contact down flush with the top of the plastic insulator.
4. Close hinged top cover until latched.
