The PA11-NIS just got better. Introducing the PA15-NIS iPod/Auxiliary input with text display on select 1999-09 Radios.
The PA15-NIS interface connects an iPod (includes iPhone and iTouch) directly to your NISSAN
or INFINITI audio system for optimal playback sound quality. The PA15-NISS enables iPod to coexist with NISSAN navigation system, CD changer, and SAT radio receiver, and controls iPod via both car radio and steering wheel control. iPod controlling choices are: Direct Mode, Folder Mode and Playlist Mode. When the PA15-NIS is set to Direct mode you can track up, track down, FF, REW using the radio buttons AND you hardcore iPod aficionados will be happy to find that the clickwheel operation on the iPod is retained. When the PA15-NIS is set to "PLAYLIST MODE" controlling the iPod is possible using the familiar CD and CD Changer control buttons on the radio. In this mode (unlike Direct Mode) the iPod screen and clickwheel are disabled allowing users to stow their iPod in a non-visible location and benefit from a safe driving experience. In Folder Mode you may access 3 Folders namely Playlist, Artist and Album from radio and allows for text based song search Artist, Album and Playlist. Going on a long journey? No problem, the PA15-NIS will also keep your iPod charged. Compatibility & Notes:[These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with listed 1999-09 Nissan/Infiniti factory radios with external Changer controls or Satellite Ready Radios.
2. The PA15-NIS does NOT interfere with the operation of the 6-CD Changer that is built-into the radio, Slave CD Changer or factory Satellite.
3. The Nissan/Infiniti radio MUST have this 12-PIN Changer connector on the back of the radio AND the correct button on the radio face [see footnotes for more details]
4. Radios that do not support a Satellite Tuner will not display text. Text is available only on radios with "SAT" or "RADIO" button. Non-Satellite Ready Radios will see Playlist and Track numbers only.
