The PA11-CHR lets you control select iPod products from both the factory radio buttons and the clickwheel or only from the Radio. The choices are: Direct Mode and Playlist Mode. When in Direct mode, you have limited controls from the radio (track up, track down, FF, REW) AND you hardcore iPod aficionados will be happy to find that the click wheel operation on the iPod is retained. When in PLAYLIST MODE you can only control the iPod using the buttons on the Chrysler Radio. No need to fumble with the iPod™ for any reason, you can stow your iPod in a non-visible location and enjoy hours of music because the PA11-CHR also charges the iPod's internal battery, and charging stops automatically at one hour after iPod is paused. The iPod will go into Sleep mode after charging. No more Cassette Adapters, FM Transmitters, or Cigarette Lighter Chargers. Compatibility & Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Will this work in my car? YES, if listed in the "order options" pull-down menu above and radio has a "Mode" or "CD" button (2002-07); or "CD-C" button (1998-01) or if vehicle has a CD Changer. (see below)
2. Not Compatible with the following Radios Codes: “RBQ” (6-disc in-dash radio), “RB1” and “RB4” (Navigation Radios), factory DVD Systems, 2005-Up Navigation "REC", 6 Disc/MP3 "RAQ:, 6 Disc/Cassette "RAK" and Single Disc "REF".
3. The PA11-CHR emulates a CD Changer-- CD Changer (if applicable) or factory installed Satellite Radio must be unplugged and will no longer function. See the X3 system.
4. Display of artist and song tittle information, track search by artist, song tittle, album or genre are NOT supported. playlist and track #‘s are displayed.
