The PA11-GM45 is a Smart iPod™ interface that provides full function of the iPod™ utilizing the CD Changer functions of the factory radio and/or steering wheel controls. The PA11-GM45 interface can be used in two modes: Direct Mode and Playlist Mode--- direct mode lets you control the iPod directly and PLAYLIST MODE lets you control the iPod from the GM Radio. The PA11-GM45 also has a single auxiliary input connection for a DVD, Walkman, Satellite Radio etc. No need to fumble with the iPod™ for any reason, you can stow your iPod in a non-visible location and enjoy hours of music. Going on a long journey? No problem, the PA11-GM45 will also keep your iPod charged. Get rid of the Cassette Adapters, FM Transmitters, or Cigarette Lighter Chargers, the PA11-GM45 will provide CD quality sound from you iPod directly to the GM radio using the external CD Changer Port. (factory slave CD/Cassette or slave CD changer must be disconnected). See the user manual for details.

Compatibility & Notes: [Please check that the radio in "YOUR" car meet these requirements before ordering this part]
1. Compatible with the select 1996-05 GM vehicles listed in pull-down menu that are CD changer control ready.
2. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 1997-99 AM/FM/Tape radios
3. Chevy, GMC, Pontiac Radios MUST have an "AUX" button and this 9-PIN connector on radio or at slave tape unit, OR an AM/FM/TAPE radio with "AUX" button. [slave CD must be disconnected]
4. Oldsmobile compatible Radios MUST have a "SOURCE" or "AUX" button.
5. The PA11-GM45 replaces GM 6 disc CD Changer unit, therefore a slave CD or 6-disc changer must be disconnected and will no longer function.
6. Compatible with GM OnStar systems.

1. Factory CD Changer (if present), must be disconnected and will no longer function.
2. Hybrid mode is deleted and design change are also implemented to Playlist mode. See "Design Change Notice" add-on to Manual.
