Have you ever wanted to connect an XM radio product directly to your Honda radio instead of connecting via the dreaded FM Modulator?. The XM5-HON98 XM 5-Volt/AUX interface will converts the CD Changer port on select 1998-05 Honda OEM (factory) radios into an auxiliary audio input plus a 5-Volt (DC plug) power connections for XM2go, Delphi – MyFi Roady XT, Pioneer – AirWare, Giant – Tao. With the XM5-HON98 installed, you can connect any of the aforementioned XM radio devices through the CD Changer port of the Honda factory radio for optimum sound quality. The built-in 5-Volt power supply powers the XM unit directly, eliminating the need to use an external cigarette lighter adapter, which is the current method of powering these systems.
Vehicle/Radio Requirements & Notes: ( please read before purchasing this part )
1. Compatible with all 1998-05 models listed in our "Order Options" drop-down list above having a 14-pin Changer Connector.
2. NOT compatible Honda Navigation or Honda 6-disc in-dash CD Changer Radios
3. An external CD changer (if so equipped) must be disconnected because the XM5-HON98 takes the place of the CD changer. ---- [see our X3 Auxiliary Switcher when factory changer is present and auxiliary input is desired]
4. Compatible with XM MyFi, Giant TAO, Pioneer Airware, Roady XT , and Audiovox Xpress.
5. The XM5-HON98 will power the XM receiver and charge battery (where
applicable) when the vehicle is running or the key is in ignition position. The XM receiver
will automatically turn off when the vehicle is turned off.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is possible that certain 2003-05 Honda Radios may include a HON98 style connector. Hon98 style plug is blue, (the connector on the radio will have two grooves), while the HON03 plug and connector are white (no grooves). Our exclusive graphic illustration will help to determine which auxiliary interface connector style is compatible with the radio in "your" Honda
