Only consider this part if the Alpine Model number begins with "CDM-" or "TDM-"
The ALP/M-POD iPod Adapter Cable will convert the M-Bus Versatile Link™ input on select Alpine Mini-Bus radios to iPod dock connector. With this adapter installed you can connect any iPod with dock connector for a clean audio connection and the ability to "tune" iPod tunes with Bass Engine™ features. Best of all, this inexpensive adapter will even charge your iPod while it's plugged in and the ignition is "ON". Once everything is installed, you'll be able to access the iPod by pressing "CD" or "Mode" button on your Alpine M-BUS Radio. With the freedom to control everything via the iPod itself, gives access to all playlists and menus using the iPod clickable scroll wheel, that is because the ALP/M-POD adapter does not disable the iPod. This cable provides an easy, inexpensive method of connecting iPod products to select Alpine M-BUS Auxiliary Ready Radios.
Compatibility & Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. The ALP/M-POD is compatible with the following Alpine M-BUS VersatileLink™ (V-Link™) Radios [V-Link is not available on all Alpine Radios, it's important to check the "manual.
2. The ALP/M-POD adapter is 6 ft. long with Alpine VersatileLink™ Mini-BUS plug on one end and a iPod dock connector on the other.
3. When the ALP/M-POD is used, an Alpine CD Changer connection will not be possible.
4. NOT Compatible with Alpine Ai-Net Products.-- see the ALP-Ai-POD
5. OEM (factory) Honda, Volvo, Mazda, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, Porsche, Chrysler etc are not V-Link™ ready and therefore NOT "directly" compatible. See OEM interfaces.
6. Song name, artist name, playlist name and etc. are not displayed on the Alpine radio -- display and control remain with the iPod.
7. The ALP/M-POD Charges select iPod (see warning below).

1. The ALP/M-POD dock will PLAY all iPods with dock connectors except (iPhone, iPhone (3G), iTouch (2G)].
2. The ALP/M-POD does not charge iPhone(3G), iTouch (2G), Nano (4G).
3.The 8-pin CD Changer port on the back of the Radio does not guarantee that this cable will work. This cable will work ONLY IF THE ALPINE RADIO IS "VERSATILE LINK READY" otherwise the radio will not recognize this cable.
