Many customers are not happy with the factory sound systems in their cars and opt to replace or upgrade for better sound. Most if not all factory systems sound good but lack bass. The C2A-CHY version 1.4.4 (formerly Peripherals CHYAA) provides a line output signal for adding an aftermarket amplifier to select 2004-10 Chrysler and Jeep Vehicles with REF, REC, RAQ, RAK model radios with a factory installed amplifier which is usually branded Alpine, Kicker, Boston Acoustic, Infinity etc and located behind the glove box. The C2A-CHY uses the full range fixed level headunit output in conjunction with CAN-BUS messages and delivers a 5v RMS (max) Pre-amp signal to 4 outputs (FR, FL, RR, RL) with fading and balancing capabilities. A +12 volt 300ma remoe amp turn-on wire is also provided so that your aftermarket amp will turn on/off with the radio. In order for the C2A-CHY to function correctly, the factory amplifier MUST remain connected to the vehicles wiring. If the factory amplifier has been removed or there is no factory amp in your vehicle, the C2A-CHY will not work.
The C2A-CHY simply plugs into the back of the factory radio allowing control of the aftermarket amplifier. One connection of the included amplifier turn-on wire and consumers are ready to enjoy their music with the amplification they expect from a high-end sound system.

In order for the C2A-CHY to function correctly, the factory amplifier MUST remain connected to the vehicles wiring. Vehicles without a factory amp are not compatible with this part.
