Product Description: PAC™ Electronics introduces a new set of cables designed to cover a wide variety of consumer electronics, including the Apple iPod™ to aftermarket radios such as Alpine, Kenwood, JVC and Pioneer. The iC-ALPA (PXA06) cable is designed to route audio from any number of audio devices such as the iPod, mp3 players, any audio player using headphone outputs or any device using RCA outputs (DVD player, Game System, etc.). The IC-ALPA includes an iPod connector, 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo RCA connectors on one end and Alpine/JVC Ai-NET connection on the other. The iC-ALPA connect to the accessory port, often referred to as the CD changer port, on the radio providing great sound quality and even provides charging for the iPod. This innovation offers audio performance that is more enjoyable than substandard FM-modulated solutions that transmit audio into the FM tuner instead of the preferred accessory port connection. Connecting entertainment devices properly is common in today’s fast-paced consumer electronics driven lifestyle.
Compatibility and Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. The iC-ALPA (PXA06) is compatible with select Alpine Ai-Net head units. [See this list of CONFIRMED Ai-Net headunits, or consult product manual for details]
2. The iC-ALPA is also compatible with select JVC Radios with CD Changer controls.
3. When the iC-ALPA is used, you cannot connect a CD Changer to the head unit.
4. The iC-ALPA cable is 4 ft. long with Alpine's Ai-NET on one end, iPod dock, 3.5mm male jack and a separate female 3.5mm to female RCA cable.
5. The iC-ALPA will also charge the iPod (Photo, Nano*, Mini, Video, Touch*, iPhone*) while it's connected to the docking cable. -- see footnotes.
6. Control and display remain on the audio device -- the Alpine radio will NOT Control or display text.

1. The iC-ALPA dock cable is *NOT* compatible with the iPhone (3G, 3Gs), iTouch (2G, 3G), Nano (4G, 5G)
2. In order for the iC-ALPA to work the Radio's Ai-NET/J-Link input needs to be set properly to use the AUX input. The head unit manual describes how to turn on the "AUX" mode. [default setting is CD changer]
