Product Description: iPod products are everywhere and because of their mass storage and portability, people are using them in their cars instead of a CD Changer. The BLAU/8-Pod aftermarket iPod harness (by PIE) lets you connect iPod products to the 8-PIN CD changer connector on select Blaupunkt radios. With this adapter installed you can connect select iPod products (Nano, Photo, Video, iTouch, iPhone, Classic etc) with dock connectors directly to select Blaupunkt in-dash Receiver that has CD Changer controls and begin to enjoy the best sound through a clean audio connection and full control using the iPod clickwheel or touch-screen.
COMPATIBILITY & NOTES: ( please read before purchasing this part )
1. The BLAU/8-POD connects to this 8-PIN CD changer port on the back of the Radio.
2. The BLAU/8-POD can *NOT* be used when a CD changer is present. The CD Changer must be disconnected and will no longer function.
3. Compatible with radio model numbers listed in pull-down menu and/OR any Blaupunkt radio that is compatible with accessory part # 7-607-897-093.
4. The BLAU/8-POD is 6' long with an iPod dock connector on one end and Blaupunkt 8-pin male plug on the other and includes power/ground wires for iPod charging.
5. Compatible with iPod: Photo, Video, Nano, Mini with dock connectors [not compatible with the iPod shuffle].
6. The BLAU/8-POD also * charges the iPod while it's connected and the car is set to "ON" (See warning below).
7. Control and display remain on the iPod-- this adapter does not display text or control iPod functions.
† Also compatible with Porsche/Becker Radio models: Traffic Pro, CDR-22, CR-220 and CDR-220 (*NOT* compatible with CR-210, CDR-210) and also compatible with 2002-04 Land Rover/Becker Radio model 4775 (Any and all CD Changers must be disconnected and will NO longer function)
How to active the "AUX" on Porsche radios with "PT" button (i.e CR-220)
1. Turn radio ON Press and hold the "PT" button for about 8 seconds until Becker 1 is displayed. Turn the Tuning Knob until AUX OFF is displayed. Press either button located directly under the Arrows on the display to change the present setting from OFF to ON. Turn radio OFF. Auxiliary Audio Input has now been activated.
How to enable "AUX" on Porsche NavTraffic Pro Radios
Press the "Radio" button to enter Radio mode. Press the "Nav" and "F10" (last button on the right) at the same time. Press "Next" until the AUX input, Changer Res screen, Press AUX to enable/disable.
Radio must have "AUX" option for this cable to work.
Special Blaupunkt Radio Notes:
1. Switching the Source (Selecting auxiliary
input)
Each time the CD is pressed, the operation source will change over as shown below;
CD --> CD Changer or AUX ---> CD etc
If the "CD" button is pressed when no CD has been loaded into the unit, The CD mode will skip to the CD changer mode or AUX mode. Also, if the CD changer is not connected, the system will move across to the AUX mode regardless of whether auxiliary equipment is connected or not (“MP3/AUX” will be displayed.) Press the BND / TS to return to tuner mode.
Special Becker Notes:
In order to hear audio information you must turn the "AUX IN" function to "ON"-- this is done from the main menu.

1. The BLAU/8-Pod plays but does *NOT* charge the iPhone (3G, 3Gs, 4G), iTouch ( 2G), Nano (4G, 5G), Classic 120GB.
2. *Not* compatible with Porsche CR-210/CDR-210 Radios ( they do not have auxiliary function) nor the CD-R23/CDR-24 (they use Fiber optics and compatible with the GWL1MO1 ) |
