The iPod2Car interface delivers CD quality sound directly into the factory sound system via the CD changer port in select 1996-06 BMW vehicles on the road today. The iSBM72 (iPod2Car ver. 1.5.1) integrates iPod™ products with a number of BMW factory radios that have external Changer controls functions. Does your vehicle have steering wheel-mounted audio system controls? If so, you're likely in for another treat: this too work flawlessly with the iSBM72. Skipping through songs from the radio or steering wheel is a blast, and could not be integrated better. With the iSBM72 you control TRACK UP/DOWN, FAST FORWARD/REWIND using the radio or steering wheel controls and unlike other iPod adapters the iSBM72 does not disable the iPod built-in controls thus allowing access to all playlists and settings using the familiar click wheel or touch controls.

» Control iPod™ playback using the head unit's front panel Changer control buttons [Track UP/DOWN, FF, RW] or directly using the iPod built-in controls.
» Direct audio connection for optimal sound quality (no FM Modulator)
» Steering wheel controls functions (if so equipped)
» Track selection, Next track, Previous track, Fast Forward & Fast rewind (no playlist or menu browsing)
» Compatible with iPod Photo, Mini, Nano (All), Video, Classic, Touch (All), iPhone (All). [Not compatible with Shuffle]
» 20 ft. dock connecting cable that plugs directly into the iPod™
» When the iSBM72 is used, an external (trunk, glove box, hatch etc) mounted CD Changer connection will *NOT* be possible because the interface takes its place.
» The PXDP works in over many BMW vehicles. See pull-down menu below for vehicle listing.

* Compatible with the select 1996-06 BMW Model/Year listed in the drop-down menu below.
* Factory CD Changer (if present) must be disconnected and will no longer function
* Not compatible with DSP radios. "DSP" will be indicated on a button on the factory radio face.
* Not compatible with vehicles equipped with iDrive
* Not compatible with navigation radios
