ARH-VOL Factory Amplifier Retention Harness for Volvo
Do you want to replace the factory Radio and retain the factory Amp in your Volvo?.
Replacing the factory Radio in your Volvo and retaining the factory Amplifier & Speakers is not as easy as removing the radio and placing an aftermarket unit in its place, but with the ARH-VOL harness you can make that change quickly and efficiently. Use the ARH-VOL to replace Volvo factory Radios with a new aftermarket Radio while retaining the factory Amplifier. The ARH-VOL works in Volvo vehicles equipped with a factory Amplifier (usually under front seat). If no amp is present the ARH-VOL is not required.

Follow these steps to retain Volvo factory Amp and replace "SC" or "HU" Radios:
1. Remove factory radio and disconnect the "AMP" connector from the radio.
2. Connect the 6-pin "AMP" connector removed in step 1 to the 6-pin DIN Male of the ARH-VOL
3. Connect the blue wire to the radio's turn-on lead (usually blue).
4. Connect the RCA's to the aftermarket Radio. [(2) Front, (2) Rear Channels]
5. Proceed with the rest of the install (power/ground connections)
This cable is wired to match Volvo 6-pin DIN "AMP" wiring requirements and will not work in other applications. .
