Warranty and Return Information

In an ongoing effort to avoid costly returns, we (unlike other internet vendors) list the specific requirements for the part to work in select applications. Ordering parts without checking your unique application may render the product incompatible. To avoid such situations we ask you order only if requirements are met-- Due to the number of vehicles and radios on the road today, it is impossible for us to know all individual features/connectors and in many cases you may be asked to verify the plugs/ connectors etc. Please email us as much information possible about your car, radio or application so that we can make the best recommendation based on your individual situation. The results of our research is done in an expedited manner and free of charge.


All products are genuine and authentic. We buy through the original manufacturers, authorized dealers, distributors and other established lines of distribution within the car stereo industry and pass the savings on to you. Discount Car Stereo offers genuine brand name merchandise at substantial discounts to the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP). Because of our discounted pricing, we are not "Authorized Dealers" AS DEFINED BY THE CERTAIN MANUFACTURERS. (Alpine, Clarion, Pioneer, Panasonic, JVC). Please read our policy prior to ordering as our policy may be different than that of other online retailers. The Warranty card included with your product must be used to receive factory warranty directly from the manufacturer. Products that do not include warranty card (Our own hand made products, Auxiliary interfaces, CD Changer interfaces etc) receive warranty service through Discount Car Stereo.com.

Defective returns:
All defective returns are eligible for warranty/replacement service

Within the first 10 days, we will replace any defective or damaged part and provide a pre-paid return label (US Customers only) to return the defective or damaged part. (Pre-paid labels are only issued to return defective or damaged parts). After 10 days of receipt, customer must cover return shipping cost, however we cover the cost for shipping replacement back to you. If the original purchase can't be replaced (discontinued etc), we reserve the right to  provide a substitute part of higher or equal value. Any claims for missing parts must be made within 7 days of delivery.
Defective returns, missing parts, or items sent in error are shipped Priority Mail only, however we can ship Express Mail only if original order was shipped using this service. Customer can arrange faster (Express Mail) shipping by paying the difference between Priority Mail (2-day) and Express mail (1-day)

30 day Refund for non-defective parts:
Within the first 30 days we will approve return request for non-defective parts (See Reasons for return).

Between 30 and 365 days (1 year), returns are approved for warranty repair or replacement only (No refunds issues post 30 days)

RETURN REQUEST FORM MUST BE FILLED BY CUSTOMER. THE SYSTEM WILL PROVIDE RMA NUMBER COMPLETION. (If you did not create an account, you may request an temporary password here

To begin the return process, sign in to your account. Guess accounts (unregistered customers) may Contact us to registered account. Return request can't be issued by phone. The online system automates this process.

Reasons for returns include:
Ordered by Mistake
Does not match description or Photo
Does not work or defective
Arrived Damaged
Wrong item sent (not what i ordered)
Missing Parts (claims must be made within 7 days of delivery)

RMA (Return merchandise authorization) are given for:
Replace/Repair  with same item (within warranty period)
90% Refund (item unopened/uninstalled) -- within 30 days
85% Refund (item opened/installed) - within 30 days
100% Store Credit (Excludes shipping) A gift certificate code is issued and used online toward a future purchase and do not expire.
Send missing part (within 7 days of delivery)

Prior to creating a return request, please contact our Tech Support or the manufacturer Tech support. Most of the time these issues are resolved after a few troubleshooting steps .

Please do not use the return form to check order status, to return an item you are yet to receive or for order cancellations. For order status, check your inbox, spam or deleted folder for delivery confirmation email or click here . Keep in mind- In stock items usually ship within 24-hours, items that are temporarily out of stock ship when inventory is replenished, item with "ships within (x amount of days)" are expected to ship within that time frame using the shipping method selected at checkout.

Creating Return Requests

To create a product return request:

  1. Log in to the Customer area.
  2. In the Your cart box, click on the Order history link.

    After you click on Order history, you'll be redirected to the Orders management section of the Customer area.

  3. Use the Search for orders box to find the order for which you want to create a return request.
  4. Click on either the order number or the order status to open the Order details page.
  5. Click on Create return link.

    Note: No "Create return" link means item(s) is not returnable, (e.g. expired warranty period), in which case a return request is not possible.
    Under Order details (top left of the page), click on create return.

  6. Check the box next to the products you want to return, the amount, and from the reasons and actions the store staff should take. If necessary, leave a comment.
  7. Click Create to send it off to the store staff.

After you click Create, the system will display a confirmation message. Our staff will verify the information and approve or deny the request.

To print the return label: (use label as the ship to address)
1. Click Returns Tab
2. Click Search
3. Click the RMA#
4. Click Print Return Slip

Attach printed return to your return (as the ship to address), add postage and ship..

Return Shipping
For your protection, we recommend insuring the return and using a traceable carrier that can provide you with delivery confirmation. Discount Car Stereo shall not be responsible for items returned that are lost or damaged in transit. Postage and handling charges, both to and from our facilities are paid by the customer, and are non-refundable. Items returned for warranty/replacement (within 10 days or purchase), are mailed to customer at our expense using the carrier or our choosing.

1. All products sold by Discount Car Stereo are tested and optimized for vehicles in the United States. You may, at your own risk, purchase and install these part in vehicles outside the US or do not meet US Standards, however Discount Car Stereo will not be liable for damage or compatibility issues that may arise. Products purchased for vehicles outside the US are not returnable unless defective for replacement.
2. It is the customer's responsibility to retain an installation technician with adequate knowledge and experience of the vehicle into which the equipment will be installed. Discount Car Stereo is not liable for any charges that you may incur for installation or removal of these parts.
