Did you know the Subaru Starlink GPS antenna already fitted could be used with Kenwood, JVC & Alpine receivers?
When replacing Subaru's Telematics module (Starlink) in favor of an aftermarket Kenwood, JVC or Alpine receiver; the GT16-GT21 antenna conversion cable is a must have! This short jumper cable (4-6 inches), allows users to convert the Starlink GPS antenna plug (gray) to GT21 for use with many Kenwood, JVC & Alpine receivers. Non-Starlink radios (e.g. 86271AL87A, 86271AL87B, 86271AL85A, 86271AL64A, 86271AL85B, 86271AL68A etc. ) requires our SBU-GT21 instead.
In addition to saving time and money; this cable also avoids having to cut/splice factory wiring; the need to install yet another antenna and best of all facilitates re-installation of factory radio if and when vehicle is offered up for sale or trade. Applicable to select Kenwood, JVC & Alpine receivers listed in drop-down.
Please note: Many Subarus include a GPS antenna splitter (e.g. 86277FJ130, 86277AL13A etc.) to provide signal to both Starlink module and the GPS radio). If there is no starlink module, purchase our SBU-GT21 instead.
