The OS-2x is a plug and play interface that allows replacement of a General Motors Class II factory Stereo System while retaining the OnStar® sytem, Bose amp and speakers in select 2000-11 GM Vehicles.
The OS-2x has on board switching to allow audio from the OnStar® system to play through the two front speakers when OnStar® is active and will mute the aftermarket stereo. The CM1 chime module is not required when using the BOSE® amplifier. If not retaining the Bose amplifier, purchase the OS-2 and GMAHCM chime module instead. The OS-2x decodes chime signal commands on the Class-2 data-bus and supplies the appropriate warning tone (door ajar, seat belt, low oil pressure, hi-temp., low fuel, etc...) through the OE amplifier or external speaker and also retains vehicle parking assist chimes

» New radio will operate with the vehicle RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system. The radio stays on after the key is turned off.
» Decodes chime signal commands on the Class-2 data-bus and supplies the appropriate warning tone (door ajar, seat belt, low oil pressure, hi-temp., low fuel, etc....) through the OEM (factory) amplifier, external speaker, or through add-on chime module (GMAHCM) when not using the factory AMP.
» Does NOT retain the factory XM, Rear seat controls/headphones or rear seat DVD. You will lose these options when the factory radio is replaced with an aftermarket radio.

1. Use this interface even if vehicle does not have OnStar® but need to interface the BOSE amplifier
2. If you are not retaining the BOSE amplifier, use the OS-2 instead.
3. The OS-2X does NOT retain XM, rear seat controls/headphones or rear seat DVD. These options are lost upon replacing radio.
4. Not compatible with 2009+ vehicles that are equipped with O.E.M. Bluetooth.

Defective returns eligible for warranty repair or replacement service:
Within the first 10 days, Discount Car Stereo will replace any defective or damaged part and provide a pre-paid return label (US Customers only). (Pre-paid labels are not issued for other reasons).
After 10 days of receipt, customer covers return shipping cost, however we cover shipping cost to supplier/manufacturer, and also the cost to ship back to you. If original purchase can't be replaced (discontinued etc.), we reserve the right to provide a substitute part of higher or equal value. Any claims for missing parts must be made within 7 days of delivery.

We are a family owned and operated specialty car stereo and accessory store and as such every effort is made to get your order processed and shipped at soon as possible; but because 95% of our offerings are made to order (not sitting on shelf collecting dust). Additional time (usually 2-4 working days) is required after which time orders are shipped using shipping method selected at checkout. Products requiring assembly includes this graphic in addition to warning messages at the bottom of product description page.
Paying for a faster delivery method (e.g. Express mail, Priority mail etc.) for products requiring "assembly" does NOT speed up assembly (built by hand) time; however, it does speed up delivery time after shipment.
Delivery time for in stock products requiring assembly= Assembly time (2-4 working days) + transit time (shipping method).

Except for Priority Mail Express® (Overnight Delivery*), USPS delivery times for Priority Mail® and USPS Ground Advantage™ are estimates and are not guaranteed; however ship time to most states is between 2-7 working days.
International orders require additional paperwork and processing time (6-10 days) prior to shipping and due to many factors (custom inspections, carrier changeovers etc. ) we care not able to determine delivery times .
