Stream applications from smart device in 2003-12 GM cars, trucks or SUV's equipped with hideaway XM tuner module (U2K) with or without RSE (DVD).
Did you know GM factory radio system is capable of supporting Bluetooth? If you're adamant about keeping the audio system and vehicle as original possible while also being able to get up to speed with advancements in audio technology; then all you need is a Smartphone, a hideaway XM tuner module and the BTA-GM3x module (formerly A2D-GM3x). That's right!! The BTA-GM3x retains original radio, XM and RSE (DVD) to enable any Bluetooth enabled device (e.g. Smartphone, Tablet, iPad, Echo Dot, Kindle etc.) to provide crystal clear playback for music and other applications (e.g. Pandora, Apple music, Spotify, Deezer, SiriusXM, Podcast, Waze etc.) on factory audio system. For the BTA-GM3x to work; the 2003-12 GM vehicle must have a hideaway XM tuner module (in remote area/not built-into AM/FM radio). To verify compatibility, turn vehicle radio on, press the BAND, AUX or XM button to cycle through FM1,FM2, AM, XM1/XM2; if XM1/2 appears; your vehicle supports the BTA-GM3x, but if only AM/FM is displayed; this module, sadly will NOT work. The BTA-GM3x connects to the 16-pin plug at the hideaway XM tuner module usually behind glovebox (trunks, SUV's etc.) or trunk/hatch (sedans). The integrated USB port provides 5V/2.1A charging current to keep those power hungry devices charged while on the road. When in the mood for XM (if subscribed); or DVD audio (on car speakers); simply press the "PLAY/PAUSE" button on the included remote control. This clean solution leaves no wires or clutter on or around the dash and is a welcome add-on to GM vehicles with XM module (active or expired subscription). If XM subscription has expired with no plan to activate in the future and vehicle does not have RSE (DVD); an AUX input is provided to which users are able to connect and play portable wired devices (e.g. MP3 player, car play, etc). This module does not support hands-free calls, purchase our BTH-GM3x instead.
