Stream applications from smart device in 2003-12 GM cars, trucks or SUV's, with hideaway XM module (U2K) and/or RSE (DVD).
If your 2003-12 GM vehicle has XM module or RSE, the new BTA-GM3x (formerly A2D-GM3x) adds the ability to stream application while also retaining XM playback (if subscribed) or RSE option. To verify compatibility, simply press the "BAND" button on radio to cycle through FM1,FM2, AM, XM1/XM2; if XM1/2 appears or if vehicle has RSE (DVD); your vehicle supports the new BTA-GM3x but if only AM/FM is displayed or vehicle does not have RSE; this module, sadly will NOT work. The BTA-GM3x connects/installs at the hideaway XM module usually behind glovebox (trunks, SUV's etc.) or trunk/hatch (sedans) and allows users to pair smart devices with A2DP profile to stream internet music services, turn-by-turn directions, audio books and more. The integrated USB port can be used to provide a charge (5V/2A) to those power hungry devices. When in the mood for XM (if subscribed) or RSE (DVD); simply press the remote control pause button and enjoy XM lineup or DVD audio as customary. Note: Pausing stream is only required to hear DVD audio on the car speakers, otherwise DVD audio will continue to play through headsets. This module does not support hands-free calls; (See our BTH-GM3x) but will mute streaming applications (e.g. music, navigation guidance etc.) when initiating/receiving phone calls and resume play once call has ended. This clean solution leaves no wires or clutter on or around the dash and is a welcome addition for GM owners with RSE and/or XM module (with or without subscription). If vehicle does not have RSE and XM has expired; an AUX input is provided for connection and playback of wired devices (e.g. MP3 player, XM radio device, etc.)

1. Works in 2003-12 GM Class-II vehicles listed in the drop-down with U2K package (XM module) or RSE (DVD).
2. XM subscription is not required, but the hideaway XM module box is required. (Select from options in drop-down).
3. To verify compatibility, press the "BAND" button on radio to cycle AM/FM/XM. If only AM/FM is displayed or vehicle does not have RSE; this module will NOT work.
4. The BTA-GM3x connects/installs at the XM module in remote location. (Headunit/radio removal not required) - Click install guide link below for XM module location.
5. Applicable only to vehicles with factory RSE and/or XM module. At least one factory option (RSE or XM module) is required. Don't ignore this warning!!
6. If XM has expired and vehicle does not have RSE and plans to subscribe in the future; purchase "Subscribed" version otherwise XM will not play upon renewal.
7. If XM has expired and vehicle does not have RSE, and DO NOT plan to ever subscribe; an AUX input jack is provided.
